Reflecting Our Shared Human Condition And Mystery In Figures

I have always thought the element of mystery remains in figurative art’s most compelling characteristics. My work leads one’s natural curiosities to wonder endlessly about what the figure is thinking and feeling. It draws the viewer in closer and invites one to stay and look a while longer. They are soft and gentle, yet bold and strong at the same time.

My thought-provoking work is not only aimed to soothe the viewer with their comforting colours, lines and appealing shapes, but also to challenge one to look for more within the work. The work I create are a reflection of the experience I am having as I look at a figurative model.  I continue to strive to encompass an almost poetic quality, pulling the viewer nearer into what they think the figures are experiencing.
